Restaurant Guide: Boisdale of Belgravia

Boisdale of Belgravia, a shrine to all things Scottish, is located next to Eton Square near Victoria Station. The Restaurant serves 28-day dry aged Aberdeenshire beef and Dunkeld wild Scottish smoked salmon, and the Macdonald Bar has a fine selection of malt whiskies and Cuban cigars, with live classic jazz and blues performed every night.

The Cigar Terrace on the first floor roof is completely covered and furnished with sofas, armchairs and cushions as well as overhead heaters and tartan rugs for the winter. The Yacht London

We would like to introduce you to The Yacht London, a private members' business and philanthropy club on London’s only permanently moored yacht opposite Temple tube. The venue offers three decks of entertainment space and has a fine dining restaurant, a Governor’s stateroom, an art deco cocktail lounge, and a terrace brasserie and a top deck champagne bar that offer great views of the London skyline. The premises can also be used as a business base with meeting rooms, telephone answering and mailing services.

The annual membership is normally £750, however, they are currently offering complimentary memberships to Bon Vivant's members and newsletter subscribers (although an administration fee of £50 + VAT will be applicable). Travel Guide - Safari at Ulusaba

The Quilon Whisky Dinner – 1 February 2011

The Michelin-starred Indian restaurant, Quilon, is hosting a whisky dinner on Monday 1 February 2011. It will be hosted by whisky expert and acclaimed author Dominic Roskrow, and will comprise a whisky celebration cocktail, tutored tasting of four super-premium whiskies including a whisky rarity and a three-course dinner for £59.50 per person. Empire Awards - 27 March 2011

Last year the stars turned out in style to celebrate the Empire Awards, hosted by comedian Dara O’Briain. 2010 winners included ‘Avatar’ for Best Film, Sherlock Holmes, Christoph Waltz, Zoe Saldana, James Cameron and Aaron Johnson and this year’s award ceremony is set to be even bigger.
