Daphne’s

Chelsea

Having fed and watered Chelsea residents for 50 years, Daphne’s will re-open on 9 June after a refurbishment from celebrated designer Martin Brudnizki (who also designed one of our favourites, 34 in Mayfair).

The format of the menu has been adapted to offer diners more choice: expect Italian specialities such as saffron arancini, piselli with spicy salt and crab linguine alongside carefully crafted Italian-inspired cocktails.

Already Open

Yashin Ocean House

South Kensington

Yashin Ocean House in South Kensington opened last year but has just made it on our radar. It’s a fine dining Japanese restaurant based around fish and seafood; the head-to-tail menu serves every aspect of fish, from cod cheek to mackerel bone and fish skin.

We highly recommend the Omakase Sashimi, cured for 3 days creating a unique texture with a perfect balance between fresh and dried.

From the large dishes the duck with Étrille crab sauce was delicious, using two distinct flavours that complimented each other well. Expect innovation and creative combinations at this sleek restaurant, washed down with Sake or a Japanese cocktail.

The Tommyfield Hotel Rooms

Kennington

Brought to you by Renaissance Pubs, The Tommyfield Hotel Rooms is a boutique hotel that opened last month in Kennington.

With exposed brickwork, oak floors and contemporary lighting The Tommyfield Hotel Rooms provide a luxurious city break whether for business or pleasure, a romantic weekend or a family holiday.
