Kisetsu at Sosharu

The chef’s table within Sosharu, Jason Atherton’s Japanese restaurant in Clerkenwell, will launch on Monday 15 August.

Hidden behind a sliding door and draped Japanese denim curtains, Kisetsu, meaning ‘season’, seats only 10 guests per service for a Kappo-style menu: a succession of Japanese small plates prepared in front of diners by a dedicated chef.

Kaiseki Cocktail Pairing Menu at ROKA

The chefs at ROKA Charlotte Street have worked together with the bar team to carefully curate a new seven course dining menu served with accompanying cocktails.

Seated at the Shochu Table, the menu will include Japanese-inspired dishes, such as sashimi and blowtorched wagyu nigiri, as well as other unique dishes from ROKA’s signature robata grill.

The Kaiseki Cocktail Pairing Menu is priced at £108 per person.

LIMA Floral Launches Peruvian Market Menu

LIMA Floral has introduced a fun, sharing menu for lunch. The centrepiece is the Yunza Box: nine small plates to share between two, presented in a wooden box of windows, based on a Peruvian tradition of gifting.

Available weekdays from 12p.m.-3p.m. in the main restaurant, and a shortened version is available in the bar.

Social Wine & Tapas with Salt Yard

On Tuesday 9 August, executive head chef of Jason Atherton’s Social Wine & Tapas, Frankie Van Loo, will be hosting a collaborative dinner with chef director of Salt Yard Group, Ben Tish.

The dinner will be a celebration of the modern tapas for which both restaurants are known, inspired by the flavours and produce of Spain and Italy.

Priced at £95 per person, including service and wine pairings, dinner reservations are available between 6pm and 9.30pm at Social Wine & Tapas in Marylebone.

Blanchette East

Brothers Maxime, Yannis and Malik Alary will be launching their second restaurant, Blanchette East, which is set to open this month on Brick Lane

The modern French menu will incorporate more Southern French and North African influences with spices from the regions, while the décor will be inspired by the Parisian Belle Époque era combined with the ‘distinctive urban feel of East London’.

Crocker’s Folly

Crocker’s Folly has recently welcomed a new head chef at the St John’s Wood restaurant and bar. Chef Michele del Monaco brings 14 years of international culinary experience to the role, having worked in London, Rio de Janeiro, Sardinia and Tuscany.

During our visit, we enjoyed a scallops starter followed by a hearty steak main meal in Crocker’s Folly’s Marble Room. In addition to the core menu, the restaurant offers afternoon teas, roast dinners and a special breakfast service on Sunday mornings.

Clipstone

Clipstone is the new neighbourhood restaurant from the team behind the critically acclaimed Portland restaurant.

Clipstone will serve up a list of cold cuts, summer plates, sourdough flatbreads, larger sharing dishes and a few signature desserts including a Paris-Brest.

YOSMA

YOSMA is a new restaurant and bar opening in Marylebone this month that will bring together the three pillars of Istanbul’s social and dining culture – meyhane, mangal, and seafood – all under one roof.

The menu at Yosma will be divided into cold meze, hot starters, mangal, clay oven and sides.
